How do I alleviate throttle lift bucking at 0-5 psi?
Hey guys,
I'm read a lot of posts on BOV/Flutter and part throttle bucking, seems like a lot of people just live with it. I don't really want to do that.
Mine seem a little different in the A/F goes real rich 10.x when the buck occurs.
I'm looking for people who have solved the part throttle, low rpm, high gear, low load bucking at 0-5 psi.
I would assume there has to be some mivec tuning, timing tuning and bov mods to help alleviate the issue.
Mods that matter for me are:
Stock BOV (VERY slightly crushed - couldn't even tell by looking at it)
FP Green
Kelford 272
ETS Intake with open filter
Currently running E85
Can you guys point me in the right direction?

Proper bypass valve. Sending air backwards through a maf doesn't un-meter it. The stock bpv is actually quite stiff regardless of it having operate on both ports of the diaphragm. Crushing it makes this worse. For drivability you want a lighter than stiffer valve spring so that deviations in pressure can equalize quickly.
Speed density does solve this issue.

So my only choices are?
1. Aftermarket BOV that allows for softer spring but holds 30psi
2. Convert to Speed Density.
How well does the Gus BOV mod work for our cars?
I've never tried SD, so I would be a little nervous doing that

im on maf still and have VERY smooth around town driving. i spent a lot of time playing with around town/cruising timing areas of my map as well as paying attention to mivec. takes some work, but made a huge difference.

There's an infinite amount of variables here. Every suggestion will be countered with "didn't work for me"
Typically a bov that can relieve smaller differences in pressure will drive at low boost and throttle. Type s has fantastic manners. The slightest lift equalizes quickly.

Mind sharing some of your hard work with the timing/mivec areas?
