Quarter Master twin or Exedy Twin
Quarter Master twin or Exedy Twin
Well im in the market of buying a new clutch cause my act keeps locking me out in high rpm so i wanna see what you guys prefer over all .... I was looking into the Quarter Master twin with the hydraulic Tob or the Exedy Twin can you guys give me some input on these 2 clutches i drag race the car often .... Thanks
Quarter Master 8 leg for sure! I've been running them ever since 2008 and the new 8 leg clutch is much improved over the 6 leg. I've ran this clutch going 13s all the way to running 8s currently. Definitely recommend this clutch!
I usually drag the car n rarely track it but it usually sits at home resting i maybe take it out once a week or so ....

QM holds more and will perform better. Longevity wise it may be a wash (I'll let you know when I need to rebuild) but it is an absolute pain in the d!ck to drive everyday. Its just initial take off....once you are moving its easy.
Even with the clutch actuator mod.....still a PITA

exedy twin for up to 500wtq. after that the QM 8 leg would be better choice. the exedy is waaay more enjoyable to drive. QM sucks taking off in first. I personally couldnt live with the QM. I personally think the ATS triple smokes the two choices you are considering. holds a crapload of power and is butter smooth at take off. smoother than you stock single. and they last forever if you know how to drive. and oooooh the shifting. 900 grams discs are the way forward.
