Can you record the noise?

I have had a similar decel noise for a while now. It started when I installed a new clutch a couple years ago and oddly enough its the same clutch you mentioned in your post. CC stage 4.

I'm putting an Exedy Twin in the car currently, so when I get it back on the road I'll let you know if the noise changes or improves.

Its kinda difficult to hear in this video, but its the only clip I have

Thanks! I would appreciate that a lot to see if it changes after that clutch replacement.

Thumbs up

So I started this thread in 2014. It's 2019 now. Same clutch, same noise... lol. If it was going to break, I feel like it would've by now!

Yeah, it's the comp clutch that makes the noise. Its annoying, but apparently not a sign of an issue. With the new Exedy Twin installed the noise appears to be gone.

I have an exedy twin and have had a rattling vibration sound on decel since install. It has ~60k miles on it and has been installed since 2008 iirc.

Had a similiar noise with my Stage 3 Competition Clutch. Died after 20k miles of daily driving. Replaced with an ACT XTSS and car is fine now

Had a stage 1 exedy in mine with a lightweight comp flywheel never heard a peep. Put a stage 2 exedy with same flywheel car sounded horrible on decel 2500 rpm and under. Drove it for about 500 miles or so noise is almost gone. I believe the mating between the disk and flywheel takes a while to seat perfectly. Especially if the flywheel is used. Just a heads up obviously may not be everyones issue, but something to keep in mind
