Check your heat shield.

I found mine rubbing (And wearing down) the blue wire on the MAF in its stock position. I bent it back a few inches for clearance with my hand. If it sat there any longer, it would have sheared the wire completely off.

I believe this is also why my car had been shocking the living **** out of me when I got out.

I had that same EXACT problem but mine was worse. My heatshield actually was touching an exposed wire on my MAF and causing it to ground out and fuel cut!! I would slam on the gas and I guess the shield would come in contact with the wire and BAM..the car would start bucking. I dremmeled out the bottom of the shield and put electrical tape on the wires

Good to know. I just ordered this. Thanks for the heads up.
I just checked the chimps AEM howto on the front page, and he mentions this sharp edge, and
advises to file it down.

Everyone kept asking me why I'd flinch and start to tear up everytime I closed my door.

GottaGo: That sucks. I wonder if it had to do with my fuel cut problems I had prior to my boost controller.

mikes: I just took it by the hand and bent it (It's just some light sheet aluminum) so that it's pretty well seperated from the MAF. I'm going to check it periodically to make sure the hood doesn't push it into the MAF.
