how to baffle an oil pan, anyone have pics?

Does anyone have pics of the JUN oil pan inside? Ive seen one pic, but it was from sideways a little so it's hard to see what all is done. Or does anyone have pics of their own they've done and have info to backup that it helped with oil pressure?

From what I can see, it's usually just adding vertical "walls" around the pickup. Looking to primarily drag race, so launching is what I'm most worried about.

Thanks

Josh

Take a look at the JUN pan, it's the design other people have bit.

I don't know of any others though.

buschur does a baffled stock pan, but he made sure to not post pics around that show the actual baffeling.

Hmm. I don't mind paying for a pan, but I'm guessing it's something stupid simple to do. I just need a pic of what others have done that actually works. Been looking and I can't find any pics or anything

The buschur pan is almost identical to the JUN pan fom what i read

There is an entire thread on here i came across yesterday about baffling oil pans with different designs. Interesting read. Try to search for it

P.s. Dont forget about the kiggly HLA if your yourried about oil pressure dropping

Yeah I checked out that thread, but no one says if it definately helps oil pressure issues, specifically while launching. Those are good ideas, I'd just like some data to back up the idea. Or, use a proven idea like the JUN one.

Already have the kiggly hla and fill the oil 1/2 quart high to help out too.

Thanks

Have you logged oil pressure and see too much loss in pressure or are you just assuming your losing too much?

In drag racing you shouldnt need more then a buschur oil pan and a kiggly hla

Having a good catch can setup will help get oil back to the pan faster from removing the crankcase pressure. I prefer a sealed can to a vented can as the turbo will suck the pressure from the crankcase when it's needed most if routed back into the intake and are hundreds of dollars cheaper than flashy vented cans.

No I hanvt logged oil pressure, planning on it this year though. I have a crank scraper and the kiggly hla now, but I'm trying to build my own pan before I put it on the car. I can get it welded really easily, and I'm ready to throw the pan on the build motor now, not to mention it would help save a little coin doing it myself. I'd like to see what other people have logged drag racing with different oil mods though.

Thanks

I know some shops that drag have modded the pickup to put it in the back corner of the pan.

The Buschur/Jun setup is nothing more than a pipe with some notches cut in it welded into the pan around where the pickup sits.

Seems like a good idea too with the pickup. Have any pics of either? A pipe with some holes in it huh? Where are the holes? How big are they?

Thanks

That's exactly what I was looking for, thanks!

Does it touch the bottom of the pan at all, or does the circle stop an inch or so above the bottom? Also does it only have one spot where it doesn't have the ring around it, or are there multiple places that it's opened up?

Thanks

Josh

Doesn't quite touch the bottom, has a few halfmoon cuts on the bottom edge.
