EVO 8/9 Synchrotech Carbon Synchros
I remember talking to you a while back about moving over to the Evo market.
I'm finalizing my build and wouldn't mind testing this out on my Evo, going from a 300+ all motor Honda to Evo myself I was in search for something like this for the Evo and that's why I had messaged you about it. Let us know ASAP because I'm About to split my trans soon so modify oem synchros and if I get yours, I'll save myself hours and hours of my sweet time.
Thanks

As a couple people have stated it you were to get a transmission builder on board then I would definitely be interested. Rebuilding the transmission is one of those things I would rather send out for than rebuild myself, but I would be more than willing to pay to have this upgrade added to a rebuild.
Thank you all for the suggestions. If we proceed, I would anticipate a release date later this year. It will take about 3-4 months for tooling and production of the first batch, then we will need to do some in car testing to get some real world results. I will also contact some of the suggested key EVO rebuilders and send them some samples for review before going to market.
Keep the comments coming! I will follow this thread and update it with any developments.

I have been building the 4g63 trans for last 15 years. I can tell you early DSM transmissions came with a lined composite syncro. dont know if it was carbon. but those syncros were superseded to brass. I always felt those syncros worked quite well. rebuild some trans reusing the original composite syncros on some gears. they were more susceptible to fluid choice. and the dealer offered and expensive , smelly additive to make them work better. Jon would have WAY more knowledge on this subject and Is a joy to converse with. I urge you to give him a call.

I know for a fact Shep wont go for it being he exclusively uses PPG gear sets.
I know it's not an EVO but I thought you may want to see Myles Kerr put Synchrotech Carbon synchros to the test at the latest TX2K14. Be prepared for your jaw to drop! Congrats to Myles and the English Racing team for putting in work!!
