Are the synchros ready to test or are you trying to see if the Evo market will approve of it?

The tooling and production costs are quite expensive so right now we are just asking if there is enough interest to proceed. If we do go ahead with them the test samples will not be ready for 3-4 months.

I will most likely need a rebuild of my tranny at some point, and would certainly be interested in these if they are available by that time.

Remember that the 5speed gearboxes are the same from evo4-9, apart from a double synchro on 1st/2nd and a single on reverse on the evo4-7s.

Same here, road racer and anything that helps high RPM shifting and makes the tranny go longer between refreshes always gets my interest.

Your best bet is to approach Shep, TRE, Jacks and get your product in the Evo field. if it works, the market will develop.

I would suggest contacting Jon @ TRE for a proof of concept then take it from there...
Good luck!

Good luck getting in touch with Jon @ Tre... He is possibly the ONLY person in the world that won't return e-mails lol.... His customer service isn't the best, but his products are top notch.

I would get in touch with Jacks Transmission and John Shepherd as well. All 3 are very reputable transmission builders and would give you proper feedback on your hopefully life changing product.

Make sure when you send him an email to include a good phone number. I have sent emails to him via his website and gotten a call back from him hours later. Once you get a hold of him he will talk your ear off, not in a bad way though as hes very knowledgable and has lots of information to share.
