Intake manifold spacers?

I'm in the process of finishing up my build and found out that a lot of people use a gasket on each side of the thermal spacer. How many people have this installed without any gasket or copper spray like map suggested on their website

as long as the spacer is perfectly flat you should be ok, but if its not i would just use two gaskets like it suggests on maps site. it also says you can use copper spray directly on the spacer.

as long as its flat it will seal though. if i was going to use that, i would personally just use the two gaskets to avoid any leaks since the intake manifold is such a pain to install and remove.

I have the same spacer.

I used no gaskets or spray and actually just reused it.

boost leak tested to 40 psi with no issues
