Injector Question

I am preparing to get a re-tune in the next few months with the addition of a ETS intake + uicp and a COP kit. Was wondering if I should upgrade the injectors at the same time? Currently on stock Evo 8 turbo, maybe going to a FP Green at some point later down the road but not anytime soon and plan on staying on 93 gas.

Current mods:

GSC s1 cams
ETS intercooler
ETS licp
EVO 9 bypass valve
TurboXS downpipe - stock cat - TurboXS catback
Hallman MBC
Walbro 255 fuel pump

Should I upgrade injectors? If so, what size and brand are preferred?

Thanks!

Get the FIC 1100 injectors, they'll be sufficient for an FP Green later on. Do it now to save yourself from the pain later on.

Your tuning now so it wouldnt be a bad idea. Id go ahead and get some right away, that way your set down the road. I recently picked up some ID1300's that Im running and they are absolutely awesome for everything. I would reccomend those or FIC High-z's

Yes you can run larger injectors and still maintain good driveability with a proper tune. I'm running 880cc injectors currently on my stock turbo.

yes get injectors before your tune otherwise the re-tune will be a massive headache because of the injector re-scaling.

I would wait until changing turbos or running e85.

I would say ultimately it depends on where you want to go with your car. I mean, I am on my 4th set of injectors... granted I never thought I would run a 3582R on a 2.3L, so you live you learn. But if I could do it all again I would have maybe saved myself two sets of these. Just keep in mind that your injectors WILL NEED to grow with your turbo/motor upgrades, and it is easier to tune up smaller injectors than it is to tune down larger ones. So do dilligence and mod methodically two steps ahead(meaning don't upgrade for what your are doing today but think more about what you may want to do tomorrow).

thanks for the help everyone. still not sure what I am going to do, think I am going to speak with my tuner and see what he thinks would be best.

one more question. If I keep the stock injectors, I will be needing to replace the injector seals. Anyone with recommendations as to what seals to go with? aftermarket (what brand/site) or oem?

Thanks again.
