Dead COP
Dead COP
Has anyone had or heard of a coil pack dying almost immediately after install.
The COP was a genuine denso of a reputable seller it died during it's first drive.
I have checked the resistance between both ground and trigger also between ground and power and compared against working COPs and nothing seems out of the ordinary. It just won't spark.
Could there be any other causes?

Yep, had same issue with a coil from toyota---thought it was my problem with no spark on one cylinder. Replaced coil, nothing, no fire. traced the wires back to the connector for the harness and guess what--it began to fire. One of the wires wasnt tight in the connector.. Good luck
I should mention it is a evo viii.
