oem DV sticking?

I think my OEM DV is sticking or not seating correctly. Before I spend the money for a new one is there anything I can use to possibly clean it out? Such as just dumping some sea foam in it before I seafoam the engine just to try to get it a little cleaner...any help would be appreciated.

What makes you think it's sticking in the first place?

I can hear a leak when my turbo starts to spool until my exhaust drowns it out while at full boost the needle on the gauge bounces from .8-1.0 bar. I have checked all ic piping and connections all are fine. When I remove the bottom side of the DV and spray with soapy water bubbles form. But still not sure as to why I can hold the boost the car does feel considerably weaker/slower than before I noticed the issue

Hmmm I'm surprised you are able to hear air hissing out out it while driving. Are you seeing air bubbles while doing a boost leak test?

I'm not really sure they are serviceable so it's be best to confirm that its actually faulty before you pull the plug on a new one.

Oh and if you decide to pick up a replacement, I have a IX DV so just shoot me a PM and we can work something out.

The stock DV in my IX was sticking closed, well actually the spring had gone ridiculously stiff, causing really bad turbo chatter when I let off the throttle. I bought a nice forge and now the recirc is as smooth as you like. I personally would just fork out the 100 quid and be done with it, but I'm new to Evo's and could have just been unlucky
