Unhappy 5th gear fixed...

I just recently had my car fixed for the 5th gear grind and 5th gear is perfect now. But after having my car back for about a week, 2nd and 3rd started to become a lot notchier than before, they were never perfect, but now they feel much worse. Like if im coming to a stop and then try to put it in 2nd to go again, it sometimes wont even go and I have to let the clutch back out and try again. I am very easy on my clutch/tranny and I always fully depress the clutch, never launched it, and I only have 3k miles. I have a real good relationship with the service manager at my local dealer, but I hate to start bein a pain in the *** takin my car in all the time. Also, sometimes when I am at a complete stop, it is even hard to get the car to shift into first from neutral Any ideas what it might be?

I don't have any ideas but you ought to talk with your buddy at the dealership just so he knows about it. Then if something goes wrong you have a history to back up a possible warranty claim.

when i had my 5th gear synchro fixed, i told them about my 2nd gear grind as well. when it's all fixed, it's pretty smooth on all gears however, 2nd gear grind is still there sometimes.

have you changed your tranny fluid recently?
i've heard ppl having smooth shifting after going with Redline tranny fluid.

Hmm.. when they fixed my 5th gear issue, they also replaced the idler shaft and synchros free of charge so I won't have another problem in the future.
