Evo7.5GTA rear diff on Evo7 Manual

Hi guys,
Im a new owner of a Manual Evo7 in Malaysia (yes im quite outdated, but only now managed to afford this beauty )

Just a simple question on the rear diff for Evo7 with AYC.

Can i use a 7.5 GTA with AYC rear diff on my manual evo7 with AYC? Is it 100% compatible or will there be any issues?or maybe use Evo4-6 rear diffs on my evo7?
Im running an evo7 rear diff with AYC..it has some freeplay on the prop shaft and might need to replace it...am considering the Evo7.5 GTA rear diff due to budget issues...

The free play is causing some metal hitting noises when the car judders or jerks.
when we turn the prop shaft by hand, it seems to have quite an amount of freeplay and it doesnt seem normal

Thanks a bunch!

All evo diffs are compatible with each other, except ofcourse if they're non-AYC then you'll run into fitment issues.

Thanks for the info bro!

but just to double confirm, does the GTA AYC rear diff have any differences compared to the manual AYC rear diff? i.e ratio, strength(durability wise)?

i plan to build this car to about 400hp..worried if the GTA AYC rear diff will not be able to hold up..

cheers man

I have no idea of the ratios and all that, they may differ from the standard to GTA, but in terms of power they all hold up pretty well. Some of us with AYC diffs have run them with 700+ whp without any issues.

Your question will get better answer on lancerregister.com due to the fact that they are RHD country and get GT-A just like us
