Any 6 speed with 4.0 final drive real world users?

My trans is getting a little notchy so it will be rebuild time as soon as possible. So really I'm hoping January.
Until then I'm trying to decide how exactly to rebuild it.
NO THERE WILL NOT BE A 5 SPEED SWAP!
I drive 1000 miles and more for work so my 6 speed is golden on the highway. If it could sip even less fuel on a long haul, all the better. That's why info on anyone using one of the 4.0 final with their 6 would be great.
Yes, I searched here and google. I even gave bing a whirl. Not much at all.
Or does the torque needed to keep the car fun make this a silly thing?

I don't recall anyone making any sort of gearsets or final drives for the 6 speed transmission...The only person that actually developed a 6-speed gearset was Shepherd, and his final drive for the 6-speed was a 4.09.

the upgraded gearset from shep seems promising, but I don't think it changes the final drive, there is a thread, I bet if you check in there you can see.

MA performance lists for a final drive for a six speed transmission.

I have the M Factory 4.0 fd and I love it. I installed it to run the Texas Mile again.
You will find that you use 3rd more when driving on surface roads. 6th is useless for me unless I'm going 75+.
See post #40.

Haha, that post is what got me looking into this in the first place. You have it all up and running then, kudos! I don't see what kind of power you're running? What all have you replaced in your trans? Was that it's first rebuild? Do you think it would be too much on a sub 350/350 car?

And to any who aren't aware, there are Mfactory and Tomioka 4.0 final drive sets for the 6 speed trans. They both cost around 800$ from what I can find.

Seems interesting, but useless nevertheless... This may not be relevant to the topic, but I feel that the stock FD is more than enough for the 6-speed at the power levels it can handle. A longer FD will just make it feel lackadaisical with anything less than 500whp, and you'll have a hard time controlling your torque at that power level to stay below 400 torques which will put the 6-speed at risk..

That's all exactly relevant to the topic.
I already know it would be murderously boggy on a stock car, but at what power level is that effect mitigated? Our transmissions can generally handle 400ft/lb as an upper limit (arguably), so would this feel good around there?
How is it for highway cruising?
Does anything else need to be changed to go with these gears?

I seriously just want to gather info on this. Any constructive thoughts, for or against, are welcome.

There is 1 guy running it and says good things, though I suspect he's got big POWAH! Do we have anyone else?
