all began when I bought brand new genuine Holset HX35 on ebay for 280$
the only downside was that it turned out with 14cm twinscroll T3 housing, instead of 12cm one, which I wanted

billet wheel ?

as no off the shelf manifold for this turbo on evo 4, we made custom twin scroll manifold. decided to go low mount setup with twin Tial 38mm wastegates, while remaining AC, and oem radiator. could be remained oem fan as well but it was the first 4G63 manifold for the welder and made a small mistake in measurements. It came out tight fit but all in all, went on it's place

coated with hight temp paint. first layer

second layer

the hx35 12cm TS is one of the best "cheap" turbos to run a 2L engine. seen many very pretty dynographs at 500whp with very quick spool. the 14cm should work very well on the 2.3.

Ok sorry to ask a seriously newbie question but I can't seem to find any advise in my search. I am looking to turbo my 4g64 2.4l and I was wondering. How do you decide what size waste gate to use? I am going to build a manifold so I can design accordingly.

was going to use single 44mm one but manifold design, fitment etc. didn't allow us to join two discharge pipes and then fit 44mm wg
so we went with twin 38mm ones
