Clutch Smell

I recently got my clutch change 2 months ago and have already break in the clutch. But recently I notice there is a clutch smell everytime i pull into my driveway which has a slight incline, but there is no smell when driving normally. Could adjusting the clutch pedal solved the clutch engagement and solve the problem?

I am not saying you do not know how to drive, but are you riding the clutch up the incline?

I have the same clutch & the same terrible smell. Sadly, there have only been a few people who have this problem or at least mention it. I am running the unsprung clutch.

I will be changing it out soon.

I live in a hilly area. My act hdss disc & 6puck disk never made any smell, when making 600whp/550wtq.

fwiw, i swapped my oem clutch out @ 40k miles, while making ~350/350 for 30k miles of it's life. The oem clutch is in great shape & is on the shelf as a spare, if i need to go back in a emergency.

I have been driving stick for ~34 years....

Who installed the clutch and do you have any other symptoms? Any grinding noises, cant shift at high rpm, notchy and resistance putting it in gear, etc... You may be experiencing clutch drag but Id like more feedback from you. Also, start you car, put the ebrake down, push clutch pedal to the floor, put in 1st gear, raise rpms to rev limiter. If your car moves forward below the rev limiter your clutch is dragging.

I has a reputable shop do the install, they only specialize in evo so i dont think the install was the cause of problem. The clutch ride like stock if not better than stock to be honest but its just the smell when im on the incline. No gear grinding, shift smooth. No high Rpm lock out since i baby the car and the clutch. Car starts a little weak but it might be the spark plug since it still on stock plugs at 57k.

Just wondering if you still have the clutch pill.

I have the same problem as you until I took off the pill. No more delay in engagement now and smell

To delay the engagement so that noobs can easily drive the evo gsr and to not break things to noob launchers.

It clogs the line inside your clutch master.
