Im about to hit the 60k mark and have done alot of reading and searching and know there is plenty of threads out there on the 60k service for our evo, but i was searching on Mitsubishiparts.net and the 60K maintenance kit for the 8 vs 9 was like $20 difference? Shouldnt the evo 8 and 9 run the same parts in this case? Keep in mind its just for oem belt not the gates kelvar..

 

Timing belts are different on mivec.

 

I believe the waterpump is also slightly different...

Water pump is different. The 9's have an additional bolt that supports the alternator I believe, where-as the 8's do not
