Replaced Your transfer Case?
proper transer case fluid
well i heard your only suupst to use the OEM transfer case fluid for ur transfer for evos because of the additives in it or soemthing...the mcqueen stuff i think it is i learned that the hard way i put something else in it and sure enough blew my transer
ivey is the man trust me i think he's def one of the best tuners in new jersey for evos but if ur gonna replace ur transfer i woudl just send it to shephard and have it get rem processed so that it wont happen again cuz evo transfers r weak
I just replaced mine at 16xxx miles i bought one from a crashed Evo very low miles clean inside and replaced it with Road race wave track works fine no more headaches. I learned that the metal inside is soft so it sheds and then it becomes a big problem.
Tc
Replaced the transfer case at 14000 only after the dealer replaced the stock clutch and put it back together wrong and it broke in the parking lot leaving the dealer. Then at 26000 Sent the tranny and the tcase (because the dealer put tranny fluid in the tcase) to shep for rebuild of both and he replaced the ring and pinion and rebuilt the tranny. Then at 30000 miles because the shop where i took it probably put the wrong fluid in not a 100% sure why though. I took the whole car to shep and he rebuilt the tcase w/ new style and rem processed ring and pinion and its been a dream ever since. Only after $6800 and alot arguments with the wife about selling my
