Wheel Hub Fell Apart....Hmm

So I removed my brake calipers/rotors and then began to remove my front CV shafts. On the driver's side the hub fell apart when I removed the CV nut. I've never seen this happen. Any ideas? The service manual doesn't specify whether or not the hub is pressed. It actually requires a special tool to bench-test the hub assy and the special tool is just an imitation CV shaft that you tighten down to factory specs.

I'm confused and don't want to replace this unless I have to.

That absolutely needs replaced. I would replace the other front hub as well, and very closely inspect the rear hubs...

I realized the hubs are essentially the same as DSM hubs. Not only that the bearing pictured above was compromised with water and dirt.

So.. the research began on what wheel bearings I wanted. Most people recommend the OEM wheel bearings.

Here's some good info. Timken bearings, part no. 513133 comes with the OEM Koyo wheel bearing. The hub is identical to the OEM from what I can tell, including the wheel studs (they have the same "E" stamped on them that the OEM studs have.

I purchased mine at Autozone for $106.99 each, and I get 10% discount there. IMO this is the best way to go.

Pics for your reference:
