I'm also willing to bet that cars sold at a higher price point have customers that don't complain as much about cost.

You charge $3000 for Honda exhaust, people will complain.
You charge $5500 for GT-R exhaust and people pay it.

Cost of materials is negligible in this case, a bit more work but the profit margin is considerably higher. There's also far more untapped marketshare and room for R&D in the GT-R (and other platform) markets as well.

Evo is dead, 2015 is the last year.

Ams Still works on evos. I know someone just sent his motor back to AMS to rebuild the motor. they still tune them and I know they do work and still sell parts for the evo x. They may have just stopped making one part does not mean they have left the market , And i am no way a AMS Fan

If you already have the resonated test pipe buy a different brand test pipe, bring car to a reputable exhaust shop or someone that fabricates. Cut the 3 bolt flanges off the resonated test pipe and have them welded on to the new test pipe. A good shop can easily mock that up, clock them so it fits perfect, then weld and install it. That way you wouldnt have to buy extra flanges. Or you could even convert that part of the exhaust to Vband
