Damn you AMS! Exhaust issues.

I have a full AMS turbo back exhaust to include their resonated test pipe. Recently I've been making some adjustments, and I've decided that I would also like to have a straight pipe. You can only imagine my dismay when I found out that AMS no longer makes a test/straight pipe for Evos. I asked them if they could recommend to me an alternative....all I got was "No, our flange pattern is unique...sorry. Have some one custom make you something." I was really bummed. I love AMS, they make quality products and have always been really helpful. So....anybody have any advice? I still want a straight pipe, but I'm not going to replace my down pipe and cat-back for it. I guess I can start looking around for an exhaust shop, but I'm pretty OCD about quality. Damn you AMS!!!

Yah AMS is more into GTR's and other high end cars, Evo kind of gets forgotten now.

don't think it's "other high end" cars. The evo is still considered to be high end jap car. Its more about marketing.

They figure gtr is where the money is at. Selling parts for newer platform cars is always a bigger money maker, theres really low competition because there's is less market share, (not too many manufactures for the gtr yet) which means more $$$ for ams lol. soon enough gtr's will be left in the ditch and itl just be something new.

AMS parts are quality for sure, but they were always overpriced because they were in the game before many others. Many other companies make parts as good, or better than AMS for far cheaper prices. ETS comes to mind. I went all ETS with my setup. Intake, intercooler, all piping. As for exhaust, a pipe is a pipe. Megan DP with HKS exhaust.

Doesn't AMS just use 3 bolt flanges? Just get the 3 bolt flanges and find a resonator. Then just have a muffler shop fab it together.

They forget their roots and the car that gave them a name. Go with buschur/ets/stm/map/sheepey there's a lot of solid shops doing great things for Evos.

All AMS Evo stuff is overrated and way over priced. Sell your AMS exhaust and go with Buschur or ETS. At least they continue to support our platform and they both make test pipes.

+1 that's what I thought as well. I think this is the flange you need: http://www.streettunedmotorsports.co...ust_flange.htm
