Can you disable the ACD on a ACD Tcase?

long story short, my tcase on my evo 9 got the housing cracked from when my motor blew out the back. With determiniation to finish my car, I found a "working" ACD tcase for an offer the buyer accepted. After installation of the tcase, everything seemed to work fine except that its leaking ACD fluid. We think one of the seals is bad, so now we have to pull the tcase back out.

But before we do, we want to know if we can disable the ACD and just run without it on an ACD tcase. Is this possible and if so can someone guide me on how to pull this off? in the meantime i'm still going to do some research but I hope someone can chime in

acd pump does not have to work. but the acd clutches need oil to survive. so as long as acd oil is kept topped off it can be driven.

we still havent pulled the tcase out, but my mechanic says he believes the acd fluid is leaking into the tcase so it might be more than just the tcase leaking out the acd fluid. I'm so sad my original tcase got damaged from when my motor blew, I wouldn't be dealing with this right now
