change in throttle hang after sustained WOT pulls
change in throttle hang after sustained WOT pulls
My 2006 Evo IX has had throttle hang issues since day one. Worst when I went to Speed Density and increased Boost. My car is running approximately 28-30 psi on an HTA Green with meth and has done so reliably for a few years. Tonight after some sustained WOT pulls in gears 3-5 repeatedly topping out the car (or close to it), I noticed some of the WORST throttle hang I have ever experienced.
Any suggestions? I know there are threads for days about how to correct it in ECU Flash, but for the condition to worsen, I have to surmise that there is something going on related to temperature or possibly with PCV. I am not running a catch can setup.
When I was running my stock turbo with meth and standard MAF setup, I would peak 28 PSI and taper. Throttle hang was fixed via the ECU. I am wondering if the added boost pressure, without a taper is causing a physical problem forcing the throttle plate open between shifts or when clutching in.
Thanks guys
