404whp intake, tbe, meth inj what's next??

EVO IX EU
Injen intake
Injen IC hoses
Full TBE exhaust - No cat
Water/Meth Injection
Very aggresive tune.. (19 degree timing from 7.000 and over - 12.5afr - no knocks)
30psi peak drop 23psi at 6000rpm
404whp in VD
Drag time: 11.9sec 115mph 1.65sec


What's is next mod?
Will I gain something with an 3.5" intercooler?
Or because anyway the water/meth kills knocks I will not gain something more?
And noway I can tune it more aggresive!

I am intersting to buy a bigger turbo but untill to buy it I want to know if I will gain something important from an intercooler.

Don't tell me to buy cams... I don't like them :P
I like my car to feel like stock!! It is everyday car!!

Throw some pistons and rod's, injectors, fuel system then you can just slap on bigger turbo's to your style. I love big power.

I would like to put a bigger turbo! I am thinking about kinugawa 25g 10.5!

But untill to put the turbo I am thinking what else I can do with stock turbo...

I have o2 dump and full tbe 3"!

About intercooler isn't good idea?

haha im sorry my friend, cams will do you the most difference as in performance now. if you have a good tuner, you will not get the lumpy idle on the evo 9. on the 8, it will be lumpy. getting an 3.5 intercooler will help you with charge temps. i would like to think you are outflowing the stock IC now. especially running 30psi on the stock turbo. but, you can not do much more without cams.

get some GSC s1's. they arent very aggressive and are a nice upgrade from the oem 9 cams.

you could put on a fp exhaust manifold and a magnus intake manifold that will help with hp. I would do an intercooler as well.

I respect you saying you don't want cams even though they're the next logical step, but I don't understand why? I've got gsc s2's and they're absolutely fine on my DD. any more aggressive and I can tell they would be too lumpy and make slow traffic annoying, but my setup does me just fine on the stock turbo. Each to their own, it's your car after all

I have a Map short runner manifold that would give you some power. You can reasearch the differences.

Agree, with Mivec tuning the 9s can idle very smoothly with cams.

An intercooler upgrade is always a good idea to fight heat soak. but as far as powerwise it wont give you power directly.

Cams do not change the way the car drives. I know for a fact from my personal experiences with multiple cars with different turbos and cams. What will make your car not feel stock will be a bigger turbo.

Purchase some S1 cams, they drop in and drive as stock and you'll get 20WHP WITHOUT tuning. FP Green. You are at about 350-360WHP with a 115MPH trap. Cams and a green will add 10MPH. FYI S1 Cams are extremely drivable, in fact they are better than stock. I ran them without a tune for a while, they are true drop ins and you will LOVE what they do to you car.


You like Driveability? FP Green + S1 Cams and you'll get another 100WHP, that's it. Do it.
