Car dies when MAF sensor is plugged in

Hey hoping You guys can lead me into the right direction. I stopped at a friends house and I left my car on using my turbo timer/remote start that's been on the car since I got it. 30sec into it the car died. It cranks and starts but dies out after a couple seconds. I unplugged the maf sensor and the car stays running as soon as I plug it in it died out.

It also triggered three codes
P2228
P0102
P0113
Any help will be appreciated!

this. if car only has issues when MAF is plugged in, 99% chance it's a bad MAF

Trace the harness for the MAF, make sure all wires are good by checking continuity. all of the codes you have are sensors within the MAF. And P0102 is a MAF code..

Ok so I took the car to a reputable shop but not something like ams or boosting performance. They said it all points to the maf. I bought a new oem Mitsubishi maf and still the same thing. Wires are getting signal from the computer. When maf sensor is plugged in bit not hooked up to the pipe it stays running. I blew in the sensor and the car shuts off again.

Any other ideas b4 I take it back to ams?

Assuming you have Evoscan or similar, turn the ignition on but don't start the car, take a look at the temperature reading and baro reading from the maf and see if they are reading sensible values. If you can get it to run at all (by playing with the throttle) look at the MAF Hz value too.

A major boost leak can cause the car to behave like you say. If it is a boost leak, it should be pretty obvious, like an intercooler pipe disconnected or a big tear in a coupler etc.

Have you reset the ECU?

I don't have an evo scan but like I said I did try 3 different maf sensors. New one and used same results. I disconnected the battery for to reset but no luck. My other choice is the tps which was giving me an intermittent light before the car stopped running with the maf plugged in

Test the TPS, and look for a massive boost leak.

I ohmed the tps. It's giving me a range of 1.15 to 5.6
But when I turn the throttle fast it shows infinite resistance but only does it intermittent

flash a new map? Make sure your actually using a MAF rom? Can you log MAF hertz/ airflow? Could your tune possiblybe worse than limp mode? Alt maps on with a different injector scale? Harness/connector in good shape?

A couple months later and the cars been in and out of different shops no one can find out what's wrong until I can take it to ams this month..... It has a tune bolt on stock injectors.. Reading out good from maf wires.... No boost leaks or vaccume leaks. Finally have me a cam code but no luck once replaced any suggestions?
