Planning for Next Steps... Lookin for some opinions

So Been back and forth with this discussion in my head.

So I think i am pretty maxed out on the mods I have now... Car is making a little over 400HP on pump atw and 380tq..

I want to push the set up a bit further... I think I can get a bit more out of the turbo. I think I might be able to get closer to 440. Now I am not looking to be a dyno queen and get numbers just squeeze a bit more HP and TQ and keep the fun driving experience. I like the quick spool of the 20g feels pretty close to stock. I don't track the car I just romp around on the street.

now here is what i was thinking to upgrade... Interested in some thoughts... i would like to stay on 93 Pump gas but also toying with the idea of going E85.

Possiable upgrades
GSC S2's (have springs and retainers and upgraded valves)
Upgraded Lifters
Speed Density
Upgraded wastegate (have stock one now)

List seems a bit small when I type it out LOL.. I have also just been toying with the idea of doing a rotated kit but not going that route yet.. So what am I missing? I think I might need to add injectors but right now I am not hitting 80% on my current ones..

Thanks in advance..

Current Setup
- WORKS Aperture bored throttle body
- WORKS *272 Power Cams
- WORKS Exhale 76mm thermal coated DP
- WORKS Exhale 76mm ABM
- 20g w/7blade billet wheel and anti surge housing
- Test Pipe
- GrimSpeed EBC
- Walboro 255 FP---880cc Injectors
- HKS Intake
- Excedy twin disk
- Muse UICP/ETS LICP/ETS 3.5 Intercooler
- JMF 02 Housing

The mods I put in bold are what I would do next. Your injectors are fine if you plan on staying 93 octane. If you want to go E85, you will need at least 1200cc IMO to be safe. You will need your 93 map tweaked for the new injectors also.

Thanks Bhsj... I have the stuff for speed density already and would plan on getting the car tuned again. Youd on't think going SP helps at all? Or offers better support for the setup?

SD will help alot with drivability and some power. Heck, why not if you already have the stuff for it. But the biggest bump in power will definitely be the cams and e85 if you chose to do. Either way, I think you will enjoy you car much more when cams are in and tuned. As far as lifters, your stockers should be fine. If you have a lot of valve train noise, try switching motor oil to valvoline 10-30 vr1 race oil. It made my evo much quieter valve train wise and it just feels like it runs much smoother than when running the Mobil 1 oil.

Again thanks for the insight. Lol with the lifters I have those as well. Have lots of random parts. Figured if i was swapping cams might as well throw them in as well.

Look up the cam testing AMS has performed. I was originally planning on getting GSC S2 cams but now leaning towards the Kelford 272's myself.

Thanks. Yah have read mixed reviews on both. From casting issues to drivability. I am still leaning towards the gsc s2 after my research. Will look up what you said as well.

If you're looking at Kelford 272s or GSC S2s, look into Tomei 270 Procams. Got mine from MAP here on the forum for less than either of those sell for used and out performed both of those cams due to the 11.5mm lift.

Thought I would update this thread since its been forever. I finally pulled the trigger and recieved my GSC S2's (billet version)
GSC lifters
Radium Fuel rail
Radium Catch can
STM SD intake with Omni 4bar sensor.

Hopefully in the next month I will get this stuff in stalled and then start the tuning process.. Goal is to get close to 430ish on pump...
