no apology necessary bud. I'm glad this thread is an active discussion, it keeps it up top on the list. I would love to hear from some more of the people who have one of the downpipes I mentioned in the opening post, and any good or bad things about quality, fitment, etc.

I don't get why you guys think this stuff is "so expensive" an O2 dump and down pipe for the stock O2 housing is around $600. What STM is selling for the FP housing is not much more. And, the MAP O2 eliminator for the stock exhaust housing is $550. So, only $100 less. Which really means all of this stuff is in about the same price range. Maybe you're whining that you have buy this stuff when you already have a downpipe and O2 housing for the OEM turbo, but you knew that going in so get over it. You people baffle me...

Also, form a quick glance for 304 stain 3" parts, and form looking at the STM down pipe, at retail value, the materials are closer to $300 if not more. Mandrel bent stainless parts are not cheap.

My wife and I both have the MAP downpipe. No issues with either of our cars. I've installed 2 Fat House DPs and those fit perfectly as well. All of the cars are 2l. The Fat house DPs seem a little heavier due to their flex joint choice but not certain as I didn't weight them. All 4 of them were coated 2x MAP's choice and 2x Tirado.

PS. We didn't ***** about the price either.

I gave a plan, who is ready for action ?
As of right now I have a turbo that I can only look at because of various fabrication shops that can, and will exploit this opportunity to get large amounts of cash from consumers like us

100-150 bucks in metal, a couple hours of work if that, $700, $800, $900 dollars, surgeon's dont even make that much money

It sucks when you need somebody, and they take advantage of you, I'm not rich, I'm pretty sure most of you aren't rich, like I said united we stand, the shops would be stupid to let 10, 20 ,30 people walk away, just because they wont budge on a dollar amount

Let me know fellas, lonestarr..

Evovle VIII, dont talk about it, if you will start making them, do it.

Charge down to earth prices, put the money in YOUR POCKET, AND STAND BY YOUR WORK 100%

If I knew how to do it, trust me, I would be making them around the clock, quality would be on par with the rest of them.
I guarantee everybody prices would DROP.....
Because fab shops dont won't that money to get away from them !!

Do it evovle, if your product is on point, and priced right, I'll buy from you, I'm gone fellas..
I would be interested in making a bunch. Im checking around locally to pick up a few 90 degree SS bends and I need to work on a deal for getting the 3.55 SS flange that is specific for this housing.

Once I get my head back on, I can mock it up and start the process.

The only catch would be the down pipe being run and what block you are using. I may need to add some length to account for the added deck height in the 64 block and come up with some type of gasket between the housing a down pipe. I am assuming most people were using the donut gasket with the old housing. Assuming that the surface of the down pipe is smooth, I can use a gasket for the 2 bolt flange and it should work.

I will have time this weekend to mock one up and hopefully get it tacked together and I can post some pics. If not, I will be out of town so it will be a few weeks before I can start this process.

How you doing Mr. Laramie, so you mean to tell me that you have 2 map downpipes /dumped valued @ $699.00 before the price change !
Ceramic coating for two downpipe @$125.00 x2

Two fathouse dp / 1 dumped, cost $750.00/ 1 recirculated cost $875.00
And ceramic coating again $125.00 x 2 dp !!

So you mean to tell me, US, that you have in your possession
$ 3,525.00 in just downpipes, are you following me..

You misread my statement. I INSTALLED 2 Fat house DPs. I couldn't wait any longer for them to resume production so I decided to go with MAP. They have always provided me with excellent products and customer support. You are correct about having 2 sets of everything though.

Whereabouts does the end of the dump tube hang? is it lower than the bottom of the downpipe? I use to have a Muse external o2 dump on my stock turbo setup, but there was a turn-down tip welded onto it (so it wouldn't spit flames at the oil pan), but i scraped the damn thing everywhere because it hung about 1/2 an inch below the downpipe.

They're about even with the bottom of the oil pan. I had their O2 dump before and never had a problem with it dumping in front of the pan.
