Exceeding the max boost pressure can hold/push the valve open. And most people do abide by it, they just use stiffer springs. The GSC 5041's that are in my car are good for S3 or R2 cams to 10,500rpm and 44psi. Kiggly doesn't really list max rpm/boost because they don't know what cam you'll be using, but it's generally accepted that they can hold pretty much whatever you need them too, pretty much like the 5041's..
