Picked up a Thermal R&D CB on the cheap a few weeks ago and haven't put it on the car yet, since she's still in the process of being repaired.

The exhaust is stainless 304 and primarily 3" with the exception of some taper near the cat section. I picked it up because a) I need the mad gainz I keep hearing I'll get from an aftermarket exhaust and b) it was worth the price of the metal alone.

But the low price and the fact that I haven't been able to find a single video on the internet of an Evo with this thing on it makes me a bit hesitant to put it on my car. Anybody have any experience with the unit? I know DSM guys love Thermal, but I can't seem to find any VIIIs or IXs running them.

Any input would be awesome.

 

I had a Thermal Engineering TBE but I don't think this is the same thing. I was looking to see if maybe they changed their name or something. Anyways...just in case somebody reads this, it was for my Eclipse and no problems at all. In fact sounded amazing.

If this isn't the same company then sorry I can't help dude.

 

Yeah, after a cursory search it looks like Thermal Engineering at least doesn't operate under that name anymore. I think they were a separate company form Thermal R&D anyways. Thanks tho!

 

Friend of mine had the stealth one back in the day, it looked and sounded pretty good.

 

Interesting. It looks like the stealths were only made for civics and integras and preludes, though. Did your buddy have it on one of those or an Evo?
