ECU triggered relay for 2nd pump

So I'm trying to troubleshoot why my second pump is running full time once ignition power is on. Main reason for this post is to check the relay wiring, because if I can't rule that out, then cussing the AEM and changing settings is fruitless.

so here's a picture of my relay:

the non-connected pin is my fused power source from battery, disconnected so I could get a picture.

Pins:
30 - fused power from battery
85 - ground to chassis
86 - signal from AEM (pin55, LS5 output)
87 - output to pump positive

If my relay is wrong, i'm guessing it has to do with chassis ground. My understanding, however, is that the relay will be circuit "open" until energized by the ECU on 86.

Am I retarded and wired the relay wrong?

LS(low side) out puts are grounds. So you have no power to trigger your relay coil. Just join a small wire from 30 to 85 and you'll be set

Follow that pic you posted.
If the AEM outputs a - signal then you will need to supply + to the other side of the coil. When you get 12v to the coil it will change the relays state.

That picture is how it should be done.

thanks for the help. I was scared to apply power to any terminal that seemed it could fry the AEM.

I'll look at the wire, my power wires are pretty big
