thats weird...that same thing kinda happened to me a couple months ago. i was doin donuts in the parking lot after work in the snow and i hit a dry patch and when my car came to a stop it stalled...then i tried to start it and it started after the second try. check engine light came on and it was my cam position sensor and cam timing sensor? (not sure if that second ones correct...i dont really remember) but when i started my car the next morning the light was off. try disconnecting your neg bat terminal for a few minutes...it shud go away.

disconnect your battery and reconnect it after depressing the brake pedal for ten seconds

when you start it more likely than not the code will be gone

yeah I have a portable code scanner and removed the code with that (carry it with me since I have a habit of triggering codes lol) I'm just trying to figure out how barometer pressure would have anything to do with my mishap, I'm curious to know though why it took several tries to start the car in general, I'm wondering if it has anything to do with me beating on it before hand.. thanks for the responses guys, anymore info?

IIRC, the barometric sensor is in the MAF. The MAF has always been sensitive so you might have jolted it to the point where it triggered that code.
