Forward facing turbo

Anyone who is running a forward facing turbo have any sort of air filter that will fit? Custom mesh? Turbo funnel? I just went with a p6262 an I was just seeing what's out there.... I know some evo guys have even made some sort of block off plate or pexi glass...if possible post photos thanks

not daily, would just like to see what others use instead of a filter or help get somewhere dealing with the weather. I do drive mine around but sometimes if I had too, I'd like to know what's out there

I know people have made block off plates in front off the turbo in the bumper but no filters and you don't need one. Show that turbo off man !!

Yeah it's always awesome to show off your turbo with no filter
Especially at a car show with expensive cars

I love it when you get stuck next to an expensive car an you have not only more people talking about how your car looks, but how they wanna bet your car could walk that other car

Me and some friends built a ff yellow evo this year and drove it around all summer and we just got done tearing down the motor.......... dunno if those marks on the cylinder walls are from the lack of filter or something else.

Buschur racing kits is made so that you can run a filter on it.

yeah it depends on who fabbed the manifold if a filter will fit or not. most companies do allow a filter. for instance, STM ff manifold will not accept a filter.

As far as the block off plate, look up angry aero. They sell the block off plate. Boostin performance carries them.

it will help yes. But defeats the purpose of a ff turbo. Ands considering the compressor wheel is still open, anything could end up in there. Even non-ff turbos have had something sucked in and destroy the turbo without a filter. The filter in my mind is better than a block off plate

You're more or less sandblasting your internals with a FF w/out filter, so I've been told by smarter minds than mine.

Is that a bud light can in there? In front of the fuse box?
