Still haven't got the car together, although it's basically wiring, 1 cooling line and a turbo system at this point.

It would be MUCH easier to plumb right now as standard flow, just because I already have 2/3 of the tubing done. I'm still not sure which way I'm going to go.

Sub'd. I was actually thinking about reverse cooling the other day in relation to our cars.

Which electric pump did you go with?

I bought the Davies Craig 8040 EWP (115L/min ali version) and intending on using a Motec DHB to PWM control it. Initially I bought a Hella 20A solid state relay to do the PWM control but heard it doesn't work as well.

I've gutted the mechanical water pump and welded up the holes. I've also removed the thermostat and welded up the bottom hole in the thermostat housing.

Will report back once I get it all running.

Meziere 35GPM for me...with a thermostat..

PWM via a 30A solid state relay...
thinking of having it run 100% dc though as whether you run the pump at 80 or 100% it doesn't make such a difference.

Best thing is that you can manually run the pump to cool the engine between runs in ie a drag event

Reverse cooling looks like a good idea and should definitely try it since the plumping between the 2 is easy

arent there quite a few late model cars using electro water pumps? why wouldnt you use one of those pumps? almost everything aftermarket is less reliable than parts that come on cars from the factory. made to last 100k without worry.

Got any suggestions on cars to use them from? Because the cars I'm aware of that use electric water pumps all have CANBUS control on them and are $$$. The money is less of the issue then the CANBUS control though.

I've got a 50gpm JEGS pump. I highly doubt it's anywhere near 50gpm, but it was free so what the hell. I'd go Stewart Warner or Craig Davies if I did have to buy one.

Do I need to post logs? Nothing else changed, just over here on the west coast setting records.

logs wont change anything. its not that we dont believe you. you just draw the wrong conclusion from your results. people can read. I made same switch on my personal car and got the results Evans says you will. waterless coolant is far less efficient that water. lets move on.

Bringing this back from the dead. We've been running (not reverse flow) a Davies Craig EWP150 with great success. We use their own controller and it's been awesome. We gutted the stock water pump and thermostat. 10/10 would suggest for others.

I'll get some posted up, but the install won't really help others as we have a rear radiator setup.

Thank you, I'm trying to figure out how to get everything routed while keeping the engine bay looking spiffy. Also, when looking at the Davies Craig site, there are quite a few "kits". Did you use the one with the LCD screen?

Went standard flow with a swirl pot and constant bleed.

Hey 03whitegsr, do you have any more detail pics about how you did this?
I'm looking to use the frontline fab plates and use a davies craig setup with ECU controlled PWM.
Cheers, Mike
