I think I'm going to build the exact same style short runner manifold so I have as close to a back to back as I can get. BTW, I went with the 1.0 A/R T4 TS.

First order of business will be installing and tuning the FIC 1650's and then I am going to redyno the GTX3582r. I was only boosting 31.5psi when it made 556hp so I need to get that up to 33-34psi, which is what I normally see on the street. That will be a good baseline for then comparing to the S362 SXE.
Seems like she should be really well around the 6 mark.( bringing the boost back up). 589 my guess lol

I thought that your atp 1.06ts would have made back pressure but the dyno charts shows that it keeps flowing over 7000rpm. Interesting to see the fic1650's results before the turbo swap. I can't remember if you have ported you 1.06 turbine housing? Didn't it flow less that your 1.00 v-band ts? What I have seen on Uk forum, there was one 2.3L gtx3582 1.06ts build (+ dump tubes) and made about 630hp at crank, and it made max around 6000-6300rpm and then dropped like mhi twinscrolls and the discussions were about a back pressure issue.

Hard to say what it will do, but any increase is better than nothing.

I don't remember touching the turbine housing so I believe it is just the old cast unit they used to sell "as-is." You would need to search through my old threads regarding the vband TS because I just don't recall all of the results, but I definitely prefer the short runner manifold. I run a 3.5" exhaust through a 100 cell CAT so perhaps that is providing back pressure benefits vs the results you referenced. I measured pre/post back pressure on the top mount setup and I remember the post pressure being less than 1psi, but don't remember the exact pre pressure and my old laptop with all of that data took a dump.

Actually I don't know if the Uk gtx3582 twin scroll had a 1.06 a/r housing. I thought it was because it was a Full Race ts kit and they have used 1.06 housing. But the gtx3582 was installed later, so maybe it had smaller a/r housing and lost power before 7krpm.

..whatever, yours is running great!

The FIC 1650cc injectors are in and idling well on the car. I will tune out the SD maps tomorrow in preparation for the next dyno run. I also swapped over my ROM to 88591715 because I think I poopoo'd my current ROM and I can't seem to get it right. I copied all of my tables and implemented all of the fixes provided by Aaron so it seems to be doing very well so far.

Nice!!
When is the S362SX-E due to arrive?
Who did you get it from and regarding your boost level, why did you go with 1.0 vs the 1.1 divided T4 housing?

i assume it will arrive sometime this week. Why would I need the 1.1 vs the 1.0? Do you have data you can share?

I have a buddy with an EVO 8 that runs the S362 FMW (6268) with 1.0 T4 TwinScroll, which is pretty much the same as the S362 SXE (6268) except for it has a Gen I billet wheel in a slightly smaller compressor cover. He sent me his log and we graphed my best street run vs his in VD (both 33psi) and he is +100hp on the topend and still climbing at 8K RPM. I won't get into the details of his setup, but I don't expect to see much difference in spool vs my current turbo based on his results and combo.

The .91 flows exceptionally well. I can’t see anyone needing the 1.1 unless they had a really large displacement engine and wanted to keep emap down. No way it’s needed on a 2.2.

I missed this... do you expect the S362 SX-E to be an upgrade? I'd have thought if anything it'd be the same power but with more lag, as much as I like the Borg Warners.

I actually found it a struggle to think of anything that would likely be an improvement in power without a significant cost to spool short of going Precision or Borg Warner EFR,

I have the new injectors in and they are tuned. WGDC dropped from 100% down to 70% and I upped my baseline fuel pressure from 43.5psi to 50psi so I could get a better spray pattern from the FIC1650's. I also converted my ROM over to V7 from V5 mostly because I want to try out the 3D SpeedDensity tuning. Both the 2D and 3D share the same 88590715.XML base ROM so that in itself took most of the day to get setup for my car and copy in the extra tables that I wanted.

I need to play around with my boost controller because I can make more boost on the hit, but so far I have been unable to get more than ~32-33psi at 8K RPM. On the 2L and the GTX3576r I could only hold 33psi at redline and since I ran the speed sensor I confirmed it was riding the choke line. I don't think I'm there yet on the GTX3582r, but who knows since I am too lazy to hook up the gauge for the speed sensor that is already installed.

S362SXE arrived today. Below are pics of the S362SXE vs the GTX3576r. I will be sending my turbine housing to MPFab on Monday to have the marmom flange cutoff and weld on a 3" vband assembly as close to the turbine housing as possible. This should give me sufficient room to fabricate a downpipe.
