Removing Charcoal Canister

So I've read through the EVAP/EGR delete threads, and I haven't really found the answer to my question...

My project car (2003 evo8) is going to be running a 2006 evo9 mr engine. I'm connecting lines, running wiring and installing the exhaust and realize my shell didn't have the charcoal canister out back (behind drivers rear wheel) but did have the hard lines.

I didn't want to/intend on deleting this system, but the cost to replace coupled with downfalls of the system make me iffy.

Is there any way to run the egr without the can out back? Does that make sense? Or do I just go all in and finish removing the system?

Emessions are not a contributing factor. Only safety, driveability.

Safety and drivability should not be affected if you delete the EGR system. If anything it will improve longevity with less vacuum lines to cause leaks.

Safety wise the engine will have less points from where boost can leak so it would be more safe to delete the evap/egr system.

Not sure how the evo will react drivability wise on stock tune without a functioning egr probably throw a bunch of codes. However, if you are running tephra v7 with egr disabled then it should be fine.

I had a spare canister but I threw it away however I am sure that you can find someone on the forums that has that canister laying around and you can buy it for cheap. If you do choose to remove the entire system I would be interested in buying it. I have a shell that could use it.
