Timing belt tensioner/bearing failures

Curious-- while there are several thread on timing belt noise, I haven't seen any posting on component failures-- bearings, tensioners. Here's what happened, swapped timing belt tensioner and all bears with OEM equipment from the dealer 40k ago. Never and issue, no weird noises, belt has always remained tensioned--correctly I have assumed, when belt is pressed between cam shaft pulleys, maybe 1/4-1/2 in of play. So anyway, pulled off the timing cover and pulled belt--seems all bearings are shot, all wobble, all lost grease, tensioner shot. Been around cars 40years and have never seen anything like this--. Anyone else seeing this from OE parts--several of you have used after market components-- and maybe I should have too.Anyone else see this with OEM timing components? Call me crazy but I expect 60k service to well, last 60K?

My '05 only has 42k miles, but I replaced the belt and hydraulic tensioner at 20k miles since they were almost 10 years. All the factory pulleys are still going strong..

That seems odd. Did you or someone else do the service?

I bought the parts and did the service-- I find it strange as well. I can understand a bearing going out every now and then--but every piece has an issue.
