**HELP PLEASE** Cannot figure out my issue

OK. First and foremost I am new to this site and need help.

Ok my 03 Evo 8 while I'm driving cuts all power when I'm driving. I can't make it maybe 15 min down the road and it's like I down shifted from 5th to 4th and so on even while my foot is on the gas... when I throw it in neutral it just dies. All my lights and stereo still work fine. Then when I try to start it, it cranks and turns over and tries to idle then dies... I have to wait by my car until it starts or tow it.

Car has 272 has cams, stage 3 bursher head, omni power 4bar map sensor, walbro 255 hp fp and fic 1150s. Had the car since March and has been doing this for a month.

I have changed the fuel pump with a brand new walbro 255, put a different stock fuel pressure regulater, cam and crank sensor and still does this... please any advice???

Have you got the battery and alternator checked? You said it runs so its getting fuel, spark, and air to some extent.

High possibility of a tune issue as well. Check for boost leaks while you're at it if you haven't already.

Good luck.

Car has been tuned on speed density 3 months before this happened. And it doesn't give symptoms of a bad battery because it cranks normal and not sluggish. No battery light no cel.

After it dies and you try to start it is it getting fuel and spark?

Maybe a bad injector.

Did u ever figure this out?

My car does almost the same changed both sensors it starts up the dies couple seconds later because it stops sending pulse to injectors. I'm lost only 3 things to my knowledge crank or cam sensor or ecu.
2004 evo 8. 3
weeks it's been like this. Also changed fuel pump notice some melting at top of fuel pump wire harness.

Here's something to try. Set the plug gap to approx 0.016. See if that cures or at least alleviates the symptom. If it does, then you most likely have bad coils, or voltage drop to the coils.

The best thing to do is to hook up a fuel pressure gauge.
