Turbo advice - Help! EVO 9

It's been a very long time since I've been on here. I thought I had my car in a good stage but apparently, as many of you know. In the car modding scene, things never go as you expect.
My turbo decided to take a crap and here we are. I've done all the basic bolt-ons and some small mods for a stock frame turbo. Original thread can be found here -> https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...has-begun.html (Yes, it's an old thread) In addition to all these mods, I actually ended up getting a CBRD BBK FULL JB turbo. Had it on the car Aug 2013 and barely drove the car. Probably put between 3,000 - 8,000 miles on it and it went poof.
FYI, I don't drive my car hard or abuse it. In fact, I never redlined this car. Only time was when the tuners had it on their dyno to tune the car. Just some bad luck on why and this turbo died so quickly. Maybe due to lack of driving. Any hoo.
So now I'm back in the market to get a new STOCK FRAME turbo. Like I said earlier, I have all the basic bolt-ons, intercoolr, ARP Headstuds, S2 cames, boost controller, OS Giken Clutch, etc. I provide a link above on what mods my car has on.
I'm trying to find a replacement turbo for this. To my knowledge, CBRD discontinued this line of turbos and I doubt there's much they can do to provide some sort of replacement/repair as it's been over two years since I had this on my car (but not driven more than 10k miles).
It seems not much have been developed for Evo 4-9 in terms of new Stock Frame turbos. So that leads me to FP turbos. Seems like they are still going strong in this area of the market. I'm currently stock between acquiring a RED/BLACK. I don't know if it's worth shelling out another $1.2 - $1.3k for a BB turbo or stick with the JB. I'm looking to make a consistent 450 on pump (93). Looking for input from all you pros/vets out there that may have had these turbos and similar setup. Still on stock engine with stock displacement 2.0L. Btw, I'm running an 6 speed tranny.
I know both of these turbos can get me that #, however, which would be better in terms of less stress on engine, consistency and turbo lag. All these are factors I'm weighing in on. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks for the response. My post may been somewhat confusing, but I'm not looking to get another CBRD turbo to replace the CBRD turbo that went dead on me. I'm just asking for opinion on other 'stock frame' turbos. In particularly, FP's line up. I actually saw your post earlier today before when I wrote up post.
Wanted to know what else is out there and people's experience.

i believe FP does not offer the stock frame anymore. you will need a downpipe solution to run their new styles. FP does still have the 71 which looks like a MHI still. Other than Golgo13 BBK, i think the blouch 1.0XT is the same.

I would take the time to send it in to our friends at Blouch- since they built those for us- they are still able to repair them-
the warranty on those turbos new was 1 year- original owner- however atleast send it in-
It's hard to say what failed without looking at the turbo and you want to be sure it wasnt something else (oil, oiling, boost leaks, faulty bov, etc) that was the culprit-

I've got a stock position FP black turbo on my evo 9 MR. I'm actually looking to downgrade to something a little smaller(too much power).
I'd be willing to sell it and the components you need for cheap. Car has 30k miles on it, around 10k after parts were installed. Drives real nice. If you're interested let me know.
