6266 build

I just bought a CEA 6266 PTE T3 Turbo for my EVO 9, Currently it's going on the stock block (It's not my daily so it will rarely be ran) my goals for it are to keep it under 450hp and low torque to prevent the rods from snapping like toothpicks until I build my bottom end. I was just wondering if anyone had any similar builds, or input on what supporting mods I should use to keep it in the safe zone I was going to run a wally 255 ( going with a double pumper after the build ) RC 1000cc Injectors, also was wondering what turbo manifold I should run with the 6266 since it won't mount up to the stock manifold.

Its really all personal preference what tubular manifold you want to run. Ton's on kits out there...you can really just take your pic. Sheepey, ETS, Shearer....etc they all make nice stuff.

Thanks for the response Teal2nnr, I'm on a budget for the manifold but want good quality work any personal experience with any of those distributors that do good work that don't charge you a arm and leg?

for that range of desired power, i would have gone with the new ss fp green or fp red with a recirc fp turbo recirc downpipe from stm. i think these 2 will outspool the 6266. just my opinion. but, if you stick with the 6266, dont go cheap on the manifold.

I agree.. but after I build the bottom end I can easily tune it for higher hp, I just found that ATP makes a adapter for the stock manifold what will convert to a T3 flange all in all the stock manifold isn't a bad manifold if you port it.. eventually when i want to achieve higher numbers i'll definitely convert to a tubular manifold.

If you plan on building the bottom end why not just save and do that first? To me I'd want to build the solid foundation rather then slap a bigger turbo on it when your not going to get the real benefit out of it and actually be worse off in my mind. Just my .02.
