Fpblack ss housing results?
It's a journal bearing. And it would suck for autocross but it's really not that bad on the street. I'm mostly going to drag it but I still plan on hitting the road course.
I have the fp black on my stock block,, laggy but hits hard. on pump gas and 28lbs I made 471whp. conservative tune. I also have huge cams which doesn't help with response. tomei 280s.
If you have a stock frame turbo, I don't know why you'd want anything other than a TS housing. If you really want huge numbers, get an aftermarket turbo.
That's my 2 cents anyways...

Not sure if this is the correct area to ask this question but, I honestly cant find ANY dyno sheets on a stock block SS housing FP BLACK. I believe there is one from TSCOMPTUNED but not really much else? Is anyone on here running this turbo now? and what are your thoughts and impressions on it? Previously my EVO 8 had a HTA3586 on it and was a tad laggy but "doable". I'm guessing real world "spool" is probably between a 3582 and a 3586 (guessing). Anyone who has input please feel free to respond. (Goals are 450-470whp ish on 93 octane, 550whp on E85)
OP, I finally got my car back and got to drive it a little bit on the street tune. If you plan on running an SS housing FP black on a 2.0, prepare for lag city. The car wont wake up until about 4800 rpm. Which is pretty much the general consensus when this turbo/displacement question comes up. The lag doesn't bother me, but it all depends on what you want to build your car for. Once it hits the dyno, i'll repost results and graph so you can see the power curve.
