Fresh build, clutch won't disenguage

Just finished a 2.4 build at the shop with a shep built trans and tcase. Car has the exedy twin disk and drove on the clutch before the engine bkew sonthe clutch only has about 5k miles. With the clutch pushed in and you try to put it in gear, the car instantly starts moving and won't go in gear. Pedal is adjusted all the way out and I can see the fork moving about an inch and a half. From underneath I can see the throw out bearing pulling the fingers out when you push the clutch in. And ideas?

Rear clutch disc wedged somehow against the flywheel? If the disc is releasing like you say, I can't think of any other possibility. Maybe the trans input shaft is wedged tight against the pilot bearing? Did you have any trouble fully seating the trans during install?

not really, everything went together pretty smooth. we are thinking that the plates are somehow locked up or the input shaft might be too tight from being new. will see what shep says tomorrow and then start to tear down the trans. again.
