You want the CHRA upgrade, not the whole turbo. I posted a link in this thread....

As far as 71hta vs 20g. Idk about max power. But I know the 71hta kills it in boost threshold.
Whats the difference between this and the old school journal bearing green?

What mods did you have? I'm stuck on 9, no e85 around me.

Check the new post feed. There is another thread re: the hta71.
Short version = I made 350whp on 91oct/26psi and a small cam. Not much else. 400whp on e85.
I'm not sure how people are getting 400whp on 91. It usually takes an FP Red to do that.

I made almost 352whp with the stock turbo, stock cams, and bolt-ons's on 91 at 25psi. I went on to make 398whp on E85 at 28psi with the same mods. The 71hta bumped my up about 50whp on both 91 and E85.

Would a COP setup and switching to speed density help make up the 30-40 hp difference to get to 400?

Speed Density on a stock turbo won't net you much. Not really worth it on anything smaller than a Red in my opinion. COP won't net you much either. Both of those mods are for improved drive ability, not making power even though they will make a couple extra here and there.

Just went over your mod list, you need a 3 port boost controller. Stock is holding you back, especially if you say it's maxed at only 18psi. It seems you're being tuned on a mustang dyno. There called heart breakers for a reason. You will never see a stock turbo do 400whp on a mustang on pump gas.

Yes i understand that. Dynojet numbers are 322 AWHP. I am definitely going to get a boost controller although I'm undecided to going manual or going full out with ecu boost control. Do you think it's worth it to get a 3port and 4bar map sensor?

Factory BCS is maxed at 18psi although I spike higher than that especially now that it's cold. Wastegate can't keep up lol

Thanks for clearing that up. I'm definitely considering the cop kit just because I've heard it is a night and day difference on driveability. Speed density doesn't seem like it's worth it on a stock turbo

speed density is IMO a must have for these cars, it will pick up power and the driveability is significantly better IMO

with my stock longblock evo 9 and bolt ons i made 339whp on a mustang dyno, would be near impossible to hit 400whp on pump gas and honestly hard to hit that with race gas on a mustang dyno.
