I’ve seen that article by Jacks Transmissions and it is a good read.

Any one can confirm my below three questions ?

1. Do the Evo’s in Japan come with Balance Shafts ?
I own a JDM evo. All JDM evos 1-9 as far as i am aware run balance shafts and i've taken my fair few of them apart.

Here's how I got my stuck crank bolt out. Not my video but my results were identical.

Thanks for the input. Did you remove the BS at the same time your upgraded the rods/pistons ? I was looking to see a before and after with nothing else changed.

The stiffer motor mounts will transfer a lot more vibration. Did you notice in a certain RPM range additional added vibration other than just the motor mounts would transfer ?

That seems like a real handy socket to own if it made a world of a difference like that.

Will you be deleting both Balance shafts now to compare since you got the bolt out?

BS delete for me in my former EVO IV and my new build. I reckon that Mitsubishi's engineers surely put the BS in for a reason, but as we rebuild the engine all the rotating assembly components will weight differently from the OEM ones, thus changing the frequency from the OEM rotating assembly.
My tuner/builder has every engine without BS and no issues in any race or street car.
The only time that an engine vibrated too much was with a 2.3L Manley Crank (Only crank changed due spun bearing and welded flywheel). It was incredible how much vibration that crank added.
