For the price I assumed you paid for both-now broken diffs, I'd invest in wavetrac front diff and call it a day!!! Launch is key as well but then again under a certain shock S** happens! Good Luck man.. definitely drive your next purchase to TRE or Jacks trans.. I prefer TRE!! Jon knows his stuff all to well IMO!

Hi. This is my last question.
In the video I asked about the shaft play in center diff but only with the first shaft. What about the other one?

I would like to buy a new center diff if mine is bad, the problem is that just bought a new tcase and a new lsd so its not easy for me spend more money in my Evo.

Totally normal. The big/outer one is part of the spider gear, which moves around some.

I dont know if its necesarry. My friends drags his evos without problem, with stock LSD constantly 10s seconds in 1/4 of mile.

 

I just tore down my Evo 8 T-Case and inspected my open front diff
Everything is beyond perfect no signs of wear at all! But I'm currently under a 2.4 LR build and this has got to go before it breaks... Previously this car has seen 467/360 tq on pump gas 93 oct and I'm surprised this thing shows no signs of ware even after practice launching hard shifting you name it... Anyway I just checked out the site on jacks Trans and they're selling the Quaife and Wavetrac for a nice sale!! I'm swapping my diff since it was literally cake removing and vice versa plus the motor is out so what a perfect time to get it done. Check out their sale before it goes away I just bought mine literally can't beat the price shipped! And no more worries.

 

I take a look closer to my center diff and the tcase shaft (pictures attached) and not look good the shaft and the hole in the center diff. I think that's affects but maybe this cause the cracked in the lsd?

 

the in and out of outer spline in your second video is NOT normal. there should only be around .005 play. looks like you have ten times that. .050

 

dang that sucks, hopefully you get everything lined out and working again
