FP Green BB or Blouch Dominator 2.0xt (JB)

Hi there guys just wanting some advice on what turbo you guys will think will be best for my 2.3l stroker. It'll be attached with the usual bolt on's such as:

-Kelford 272 cams 10mm lift
-3" turboback exhaust with a HKS hi-Silent catback
-Ported stock exhaust manifold
-1000cc BOSCH hi-flow injectors
-3' intake with a K and N pod filter(MAF), thinking of switching to a 4"and going SD
-Bigger aftermarket Intercooler
-Currently have a 2.5" LICP and a 3" UICP with a Tial Q BOV. (Thinking of switching to 2.5" all round

I'm aiming for roughly around 450-480hp, on NZ 98RON. Looking to remote tune since the choice of tuners who can tune SD here are limited/None. My main goals are to have a responsive street car, which I will occasionally take out for some track days. Any info between the two turbos will be good! I may have missed out some minor bolt on's

Track days equals ball bearing turbo IMO. Less sensitive to oiling issues. Both turbos are a good option. The characteristics of the green will vary depending on if you get it in single scroll or twin scroll.

I'm looking into the Twin Scroll stock appearing housing. I'm not a fan of the single scrolls. The price difference is almost 1k between the 2.0xt jb and bb from the person who stocks them closest to me.

Also if I was to go for the blouch would you recommend a anti surge cover? Thanks

Idk what the surge characteristics are with the blouch. FP turbos pretty much need it, especially in twin scroll. I can still get my car to ride the surge line in 5th gear, even with the anti-surge cover.

I see, yeah if I get the blouch I will definately get the Anti surge cover. It's just hard seeing what this turbo performs like on the streets. I can barely find info on it.

CBRD didn't have it out very long (BBK-B), before discontinuing it in favor of only offer T3 kits. Blouch isn't as well known in the Evo community, so it's not a very common choise (just a guess).

mrfred has a thread, "BBK-3b, my new favorite turbo"

do you really think 450hp is possible on pump gas with a green?

i made 440whp on a red on pump gas so i dont see how a green could do the same thing

That's what I'm starting to think now. I remember messaging FP a few times. They said they've had a evo making 450hp with a 2.3l? I can't remember exactly but it wasn't too long ago but I remember getting a message about it. Although I'm more so worried about power falling of up top with the Green.

With a 2.3L, and likely 94aki fuel, it'll do it.

It's a hard call, I read through the bbk 3b post it seems the Blouch being similar rips up over the Green.

Keep in mind, that's the old green. It's didn't flow as much air. The flow of compressor on the new green is more in range with the bbkb

Are you talking about the new MHI housing Green? I was actually looking into that turbo, but it doesn't seem to be offered in BB?
