On a 2.4, the stock 6 speed probably won't last too long.
What do you mean by smoother? I've never drove a 6 speed but on my 5 speed it can feel somewhat notchy not terrible or hard to get into gear but just a tad. Is that what you are referring to?

From my experience, yes. Have you ever driven a manual transmission Honda? Particularly the B series. The six speed is not as smooth as that, but it is a heck of a lot closer than the Notchey five-speed LOL.

Six speed feels awesome.

All this information gives me hope, I would like to put a six speed back on next time I have to deal with the clutch. If not sooner.

Yes, I think the 5 speed is notchy as hell, and I personally hated it compared to the buttery smooth 6 speed. Plus, the 5th gear on the 5 speed is

But hey, some people don't want to spend $4,000 to $6,000 on the 6 speed upgrade (that's how much it cost me when it was all said and done).

Straight cut gears are fine for the track but stupidity for a street car. I hope Albins do improve the 6 speed gearset as i also want to keep my 6 speed for the street.

i used to run the shep 5 speed with ultimate ratio - was nice, but the 6 gears are very smooth

I can't. It fell victim to the previous owner and her lack of maintenance. When I put it in gear and let out the clutch, the car goes nowhere and it sounds like broken glass LOL.

I was going to have it repaired/upgraded, but that is nowhere in my budget. A complete 5spd swap is cheaper. Sucks.
