Evo 9 6 speed

What sucks about it is the new red made me dislike driving the car prior to having any issues, now I really have no desire to even bother with it anymore.
Sorry about your new Red.
Something to keep in mind about the 6 speed. One of the main issues is heat, and with only 2.3 quarts of capacity, the 6 speed can overheat on the track.
Tracking the 6 speed means you should certainly get a tranny cooler.

And a note to the uninitiated, you and I have both the same clutch and same 6 speed upgrade and (I will be) similar ballpark power-wise.
I will update my build thread in a bit, but there was a slight delay to my build because Aby was building himself a motor. Now, we're in the clear so I will go down there in the next few weeks to drop off all my stuff.

Personally, I'll be using the Castrol SynTorq LT for my transmission. My 6 speed liked it way better than the OEM fluid, which always made my 6 speed grind going into second. The LT never did that and I got 175,000 miles on the OEM 6 speed with no issues.
def - hope no one is using shockproof in their trans anymore - mine shifted great, until the trans went. i've used it in my t-case, decided to use their GL5 gear oil after seeing it's additive pack and how well it did. using RL 75w85 GL4 in the trans now as well.
I would love to see how the Castrol Syntorq LT stacks up. It's a 75W85 just like the OEM DiaQueen, but it shifts much better. Do you just send in a sample without having it in the transmission?
i do when i want to see what's inside a fluid before using it - they're called "VOAs" - virgin oil analyses. but it only means anything if you're comparing it to another fluid, so you'd want to send in for example the OEM fluid, see if it's missing anything from the OE fluid, and how their actual viscosities compare - that's what i did for the gear oils

Blackstone, I asume?

yep - used diaqueen t-case fluid, then lightweight shockproof, and RL 75w90 gl5 now. matches additives of diaqueen pretty closely, and did a great job in my built rear diff, so i decided to put it in the t-case. yes, acd t-case
