Should of never cleaned my Maf Sensor!
Should of never cleaned my Maf Sensor!
Well I decided to clean my Maf sensor and Throttle body because , I thought that would stop my car from dying whenever I push my clutch in coming to a stop. I could start the car it would idle like around 16-17. Then once its warm it would settle for a minute then the idle would drop. I would blip the throttle to try to keep it alive but it just gets stuck at 2,000 rpm. So I would turn the car off. Tried to crank it again the revs go up like it wants to start but the car just dies. The car is not throwing any codes. Already replaced the maf. Dont know what it is possibly fpr, iacv, o2, or map sensor?

So... You should change the title of your thread to "Should of never cleaned the throttle body." j/k
It is a common mistake, don't feel too bad. It is a good time to maybe order a spare stock one and redo the TB shaft seals and then swap on a good "refurbished" unit that is good to go for higher boost and a few years of service.

Checking the throttle body next week mostly likely going to reseal the throttle plate. I wanted to try something out so I unplugged the maf sensor and the car started up and idled normally. Wondering if that wire thats showing might be causing it.
Update: Ok well I sealed the throttle plate. Put everything back together. When I start the car back up the afr is reading 17 and sometimes shows ---. After the car warms up it reads the afr reads 14-15. Then the idle starts going back up and stays at 1.5k rpm. Can't remember the afr reading so I decided to turn the car off.
