Still waiting to hear back from FP, they received it but haven't looked at it yet- Hopefully its $400 or less to rebuild otherwise I got a very raw deal.

Just to update the tread .
The turbo is so shot FP quoted me $700+ for a rebuild.

I've opened a PayPal case so hopefully they back me up on the transaction

 

What did you pay for the turbo? In reality, they're charging you $712 for rebuild, and $200 for an oil line so the turbo doesn't blow up again. They don't charge you the $100 inspection fee if you go ahead with the rebuild. So, like I said, the rebuild is only $712, so if you paid $500 for the turbo, it's not a bad deal.


But I forgot you said the seller said the turbo was good. So yeah, get your money back. Eff that guy.

 

I was figuring $100 Plus 712 initially but I see the refund note now.


If I paid $500 I would eat it.
I paid double that ...

I did offer a partial refund on the PayPal claim but we'll see what happens
