Why not look into the Borg Warner stuff. A 9174 would be pretty awesome on your setup

If you wanted to go with Forced Performance, the Xona Rotor 7864 is the replacement for the HTA86.

S369SX-E .91ar with a twin scroll manifold. I can hold 40psi of boost up top and 830hp with VERY conservative timing. Spool is way better than my old s366. 35psi by 5500rpm on a 2.0 with HUGE cams. I'm self tuned to this point but I'm sure a good tuner can get 900hp easy. Best turbo for $1050 IMO.

They now offer a 1.0 divided housing if your goals are over 900 that would be my choice. Technically a 2.3 would spool 400 rpm sooner.

HTA86 is barely bigger than your 6266 you wouldn't even know the difference. HTA3786 that is. Actually it's rated for less flow.

The person who gives me advice says Borg Warner are crap. They spool great but dont make the top end an FP or PTE make. Also they are not very reliable.

Who is this mysterious person directing you? If he is so well versed on the topic then what is he recommending you go with?

What are your goals for the car anyway? You keep commenting on BW turbos sucking for drag and crap like that so I take it your plan is to build a drag car? If so why bother with the 2.3 when you'll only be able to rev it out to 8500?

I'm kidding, I'm not the authoritative figure the OP is talking about. Just pulling some legs. Besides that, I'd argue that the efr lineup is an excellent option for maximizing midrange power while maintaining power in the higher RPMs.
